Freightened: The Real Price of Shipping examines the many costs (hidden and not so hidden) to the ocean, workers, and the health of human and marine life all over the world. Don't miss this free screening in honor of World Oceans Day as part of the Presidio Dialogues Series.
Chasing Coral, screening in Larkspur on June 5, is a dramatic account of coral bleaching and one team's relentless quest to capture it in progress on camera. From the director of Chasing Ice, this film was featured at Sundance and one of its stars, Zack Rago, will be at the screening for a Q&A.
The Presidio Trust and the IOFF present a special Presidio Dialogues edition and screening of Bad Tidings, an important film that examines sea level rise and the effects of climate change on the homes and people who live along our coastlines.
When and how did the surf scene at Ocean Beach get started? The Presidio Trust presents a free screening of Great Highway: Journey to the Soul of San Francisco Surfing, winner of the 2016 IOFF Golden Gate Award, as part of its Presidio Dialogues series.

Fun for the whole family, the Bay Area Science Festival offers hundreds of hands-on activities, opportunities to meet local scientists and engineers, and plenty of fun and educational entertainment. The ballpark is packed to the rafters with science content: on the field, at every entry and exit, and on every level of the ballpark.
We'll be there screening shorts and animated films about the ocean, marine ecosystems, marine wildlife, and ocean sports, Learn more about our free education program and the popular Student Film Competition.
Kids can also visit our booth to design their own film storybook, where they can create their own short story to take home and maybe even develop into a film.
