Getting to Fort Mason
From the East Bay:
Bay Bridge to the Fremont Street exit, then take the first right onto Howard and go left on Embarcadero. Continue for 1.3 miles; turn left on Bay and continue for 1.4 miles. Turn right on Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. and make a sharp right into Fort Mason Center.
From the North Bay:
Golden Gate Bridge (US 101) to the Marina exit. After 1.5 miles, turn left at Buchanan then right into Fort Mason Center.
From the Peninsula/South Bay:
US 101 North to 9th St. Exit; Take 9th St. across Market, then turn left on Hayes and right on Franklin; continue for about 2 miles. Turn left on Bay St. and then right on Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. and make a sharp right into Fort Mason Center.
The Fort Mason Center parking lot offers a limited amount of parking, with fees in effect from 7:00am to 12:00 midnight every day. Please note there are often several events occurring at Fort Mason simultaneously.
Some free parking is available at the San Francisco Marina (on the other side of Marina Green) and on neighboring streets. Be sure to check parking signs and restrictions, and avoid parking in the Safeway parking lot across from Fort Mason — your vehicle will be towed. Find other parking options at Parkopedia.
And if you're staying nearby (Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 or the Marina district), walking can be a hassle-free option that is also very scenic!
